S7 Electrical Component Replacement Instructions

Tools needed:

  • T6 Torx Screwdriver

  • Lint-free cloth

 

Important: Fully extend the dropper post before beginning this procedure. Failure to do so may create a safety risk.

 

STEP 1: REMOVE BATTERY

Remove the battery from the Battery Cradle.

STEP 2: REMOVE BATTERY CRADLE
Using your T6 Torx screwdriver, remove the four Battery Cradle mounting screws, then lift off the Battery Cradle.

STEP 3: DISCONNECT MOTOR CABLE
Using your fingernail, gently lift the motor cable retaining latch, then unplug the motor cable.

STEP 4: REMOVE CONTROL BOARD, MOUNTING BASE, AND MOTOR
Using your T6 Torx screwdriver, remove the four mounting screws. Then remove the Control Board, Mounting Base, and Motor.

STEP 5: INSTALL MOTOR
Install the motor, making sure the notch on the motor shaft is properly aligned with the notch in the dropper post before seating the motor in place.

STEP 6: INSTALL MOUNTING BASE
Install the Mounting Base, making sure the motor locating tab is positioned correctly and does not prevent the Mounting Base from sitting flat.

STEP 7: INSTALL CONTROL BOARD
Position the Control Board in place, then tighten the four mounting screws using your T6 Torx screwdriver.

STEP 8: RECONNECT MOTOR CABLE
Insert the motor cable connector into the socket, then press the retaining latch down to secure the connection.

STEP 9: CLEAN SEAL AND MATING SURFACE
Use a lint-free cloth to clean the seal on the Battery Cradle and the mating surface on the dropper post head. Make sure both surfaces are clean to ensure a proper seal.

STEP 10: REINSTALL BATTERY CRADLE
Position the Battery Cradle onto the dropper post head, then tighten the four Battery Cradle mounting screws using your T6 Torx screwdriver.

Congratulations, your electrical component replacement is complete.
